So this is my first post for Boston University’s MSPM MET TM648 course.
Not only is it my first post for class, but it’s my first post ever, so I better make it count.
I’ve heard this class is difficult, but I’ve also heard it’s fun, so I’m looking forward to learning from all of you and trying to contribute along the way.
I feel a little like Doogie Howser, MD, Dana Scully, MD or Carrie Bradshaw typing away in my attic office.
My mission, I just decided is to try to keep my blog simple and fun and to the point.
So let’s get this blog party going!

Hi there Nick, greetings from an ex-Western New Yorker! I lived in Buffalo for a couple of years before I moved further east.
You wouldn't be a hockey fan by any chance, would you?
Hi Nick,
I voted for TIVO in the poll, but really wanted to vote for the iPhone. However, in thinking about your options, I went with TIVO over iPod because TIVO really revolutionized the way my household watched TV - we went from taping shows and skipping over commercials to watching shows and pausing for life's necessary interruptions. The iPod is cool but it didn't change my life nearly as much as TIVO did when it first appeared in the landscape. On the other hand, I never saw the utility in Smartphones until I got my iPhone!! Now, I understand the "addiction" to small handheld gadgets that can surf, call, store photos, and play music all on one gadget. With the introduction of the App Store, I am even able to challenge my brain in downtime with Suduko and Pacman! Occasionally, I even log into BU and check Vista mail.
You did a very nice job of sharing your life with us. Thanks for sharing the pictures and stories of the family members. The layout is very easy for the eyes to follow and the color scheme has a "calming" effect.
